Katie Summers

Katie Summers joined the PBS Foundation in February 2024 as the Manager of Gift Planning and Administration. In this role, she works closely with the Vice President of Individual Giving and the Director of Gift Planning in support of gift administration functions, all intended to achieve the PBS Foundation’s strategic vision.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Katie was the Administrative Manager at the ASPCA Cruelty Recovery Center (CRC). She executed administrative tasks for the Vice President of the CRC and directly supported a team of over 40 staff members. Katie deployed to various animal rescue operations, assuming leadership roles in animal cruelty seizures, disaster responses, and temporary shelters. She project managed the team’s relocation to a 100,000+ square foot facility and led the creation of an extensive Standard Operating Procedures package. Katie was an active member of the 2022 DEI Staff Council and won the 2021 Fall/Winter Angel Award.

Katie holds a Master’s of Education from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Redlands. In her free time, you will find her taking walks with her two dachshunds, hiking, birding, or adventuring to new locations.
