Heather Johnson

Heather Johnson joined the PBS Foundation in November 2026 as the Director, Gift Operations and Compliance.

Prior to joining PBS, Heather was the Deputy Director, Donor Revenue Management & Policy at the US Fund for UNICEF, where she led a team of gift processors, managed donor revenue reconciliation, audited and improved policies and procedures, and reviewed all gift agreements for IRS and GAAP compliance.

Heather serves on the board of the Association of Advancement Services Professionals (aasp) as the Director of Membership Operations and is a volunteer Development Committee advisor for Sunflower Bakery in Rockville Maryland, a nonprofit organization that enables pathways to employment for young adults and teens with learning differences.

Heather and her husband live in Washington, DC. In her free time, she loves to volunteer, bake, travel, and read.
