Hector Ascencio
Manager, Gift Processing
Hector Ascencio is Manager, Gift Processing at the PBS Foundation, where he oversees the accurate and timely processing, recording, reconciliation, and reporting of charitable contributions.
Before joining the PBS Foundation, Hector built a broad professional background through roles at the National Women’s Law Center, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Working across these nonprofit, advocacy, performing arts, and cultural institutions gave him experience with mission-driven organizations serving distinct communities and operating within varied administrative environments. Along the way, he developed a disciplined approach to organization, accuracy, collaboration, and service. These experiences also deepened his appreciation for the operational work that supports an institution’s larger mission and prepared him to bring a thoughtful, dependable, and solutions-oriented perspective to his role at the Foundation.
Outside of work, Hector enjoys building computers and traveling, two interests that reflect his curiosity and love of discovery.
