Tess Plotkin

Tess joined the PBS Foundation in May 2024. In her role as Senior Manager, Institutional Giving, she builds strategic partnerships with a portfolio of institutional funders and prospects; writes grant proposals and other materials for funder outreach; conducts prospect research; and maintains institutional records and tracks progress against goals in the database.

Previously, Tess was Institutional Giving Manager at Emmanuel Music and Director of El Sistema at Conservatory Lab, both in Boston. She holds a B.S. from Boston University and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from The University of Massachusetts Boston. She is also a graduate of the Perrone-Sizer Institute for Creative Leadership. As an educator and musician, Tess is an advocate for the power of the arts – their capacity to heal, build community, and activate agency.
